I did a video for SIM that was playing in my car that shows the progress I've made over the years since I first got my baby. It's set to the tune "Patience" from G-n-R...

Thought I'd post it on here and see what ya'll think of my 1st attempt at using Windows Movie Maker.

Thanks!

I still have my 1991 Pontiac Grand Am that has been sitting since December 08 when I picked up my Stratus. It seems to me nobody is interested in buying it and I really don't want to sentence it to death yet. This is my first car so I'm attached to it a bit. I was thinking of starting a small restoration project on it and turn it into a nice summer car for next year. Believe it or not, it only has 103,000 miles on it. There's nothing seriously wrong with it other than needing a tune up, the A/C doesnt work (but i dont care for a/c much, rather roll with the windows down cool2.gif ) and occasionally it runs hot. I'd replace the major components, water pump, alternator, and the rad since its got some damage from when i hit a bird. The body isn't too bad, it does have some rusty spots. Also, it has a MAJOR trunk leak that I haven't been able to find and fix. The engine is the Tech4 "Iron Duke" 2.5L 4 banger and its got about 90-100 horses. The shocks were changed August 07, the battery is from September 08, the brakes and windshield June-July 08, new belts, the muffler is good, but the rest of the exhaust looks like swiss cheese, tires are okay .... What do you guys think about it?

> A couple of issues and questions.

I just got my car back last week after getting a radiator flush and new thermostat installed. I have noticed a couple of things that bother me.

1. My temperature hand won't hold steady just below the halfway mark anymore like it used to. It regularly hits the halfway mark and slightly above, and then I can hear the fans running really fast. It used to not be like that.

2. Occasionally, after backing up in my driveway to park, my oil light kinda blinks and flickers. This morning in the drive-thru line, the oil light came on while waiting for my food. It flickered a little and kinda stayed on after that, it went off after pulling off.

Any ideas on either of these issues, please let me know. Thanks guys and gals!

> 1G Stratus/PT Turbo wheel compatability?
Posted by KennyL - 06-17-09 14:48 - 6 comments
I'm pretty sure it's the same bolt pattern, but is it simmilar offset? OR, would the fenders/struts be an issue if it's wider/narrower offset? I think I recall hearing someone using SRT-4 wheels, and I know people use Sebring wheels, but I'm not sure about PT/Turbo wheels.

Local junkyard has a PT Turbo with 4 good wheels(light front crash), guy said I could get the set for 200 bukks biggrin.gif . I'm guessing that's a good deal, and I think they'l look good on my car(if they fit that is). Thanks for the help.
